BIM Technician

About the Job

As a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician, you will be working on projects both small and large, spanning from a few weeks to more than a year. Your work will begin in concept design, continue through modeling, and follow through until project completion. Familiarity and understanding of the design process is required: Schematic Design, Design Documents, Construction Documents, Bid Documents, Conformed Documents, and Record Documents. You will also play a key role in coordinating BIM information with our consultant teams.

You have a meaningful role on projects from beginning to end. You “own” your work and are dependable and accountable. Position Requirements

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Autodesk Revit, Architecture preferred. Ability to develop documents, and maintain BIM/CAD projects (model setup, production drawings, deliverables, consultant coordination, family creation, template creation). Ability to coordinate with BIM360, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture. Familiarity with Microsoft, Adobe Suite products, Bluebeam, Sketch Up, 3D Studio Max a plus.

Staff Controller 2 – Accounts Payable

Are you an experienced accounting professional with great organizational skills and attention to detail? Are you interested in working with a firm that understands that collaboration and excellence has a profound impact on meaningful outcomes? If so, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time position with our firm. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Accounts Payable Support.  You will work collaboratively with the Accounting Controller, Treasurer/CFO to maintain and process project Accounts Payable.  Setup of new projects in Deltek. Maintain work-in-progress spreadsheets.
    • Note: We use Deltek as our accounting platform and applicants need proficiency with this program; position includes ongoing Deltek training. 
  • Filing & Record Maintenance.  You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate accounts payable records, as well as archives; both hard copy and on the network drive.
  • Quality & Process Improvement Implementation. Assist in accounting system migrations/upgrades and other accounting streamlining goals. 

What You Bring

  • BA in accounting or finance is preferred 
  • AA in accounting or finance and three years’ experience at an intermediate level or higher is preferred.
  • Experience and proficiency in Deltek Vision Software
  • Working knowledge of GAAP. 
  • Advanced Excel and accounting software experience 
  • Prior experience in the engineering, architectural, or similar service-type company is preferred. 
  • High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and manage priorities.

Marketing Coordinator

MCG Explore Design is looking for a full time Marketing Coordinator. This position works closely with the Marketing Director on the development of project proposals, maintaining the marketing database, social media management, and general administrative project support. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include responding to sub-consultant requests, researching new business and community involvement opportunities, coordinating content updates, production of other marketing materials and collateral, and maintaining organized and accurate systems under the guidance of the Marketing Director. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works well as part of a collaborative team, is able to manage multiple projects at a time, and can quickly prioritize to meet deadlines.

  • Coordinate marketing activities 
  • Write and maintain resumes, boilerplate information, and project descriptions
  • Work with technical staff to develop marketing materials and proposal content
  • Update social media information
  • Update website content
  • Coordinate with specialized consultants (photographers, PR, etc.)
  • Plan and coordinate special events
  • Research target markets

Ideal Skill Set

  • Proficient with word processing software (MS Office)
  • Proficient with desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign/Creative Suite)

Experience/Education

Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or the equivalent of three years of relevant experience in a professional services environment. Familiarity with the A/E/C industry a plus.
